Many marketers use Excel to plan and track campaigns.   I am developing a list of Excel questions to weed out Excel experts.  Please feel free to add the list.

  1. How do you use the Lookup Function?
  2. What is a PivotTable?
  3. How many rows can Excel handle?
  4. Have you used conditional formating?
  5. What is the syntx for countif?

Answers (Per Microsoft Excel Help)

  1. Returns a value either from a one-row or one-column range or from an array (array: Used to build single formulas that produce multiple results or that operate on a group of arguments that are arranged in rows and columns. An array range shares a common formula; an array constant is a group of constants used as an argument.).
  2. A PivotTable report is an interactive table that quickly combines and compares large amounts of data. You can rotate its rows and columns to see different summaries of the source data, and you can display the details for areas of interest.
